Why Green Grade exists
Rega works with around 650 suppliers, 85 percent of them in the United Kingdom. On the way from those factories to Southend something occasionally gets damaged: a scratch on a plinth, a mark in the lacquer, a dust cover with a bruised corner. Such a part used to go back or, when reworking it cost more than it was worth, to landfill.
Rega no longer accepts that. In May 2026 the company announced Green Grade, a non-profit initiative that gives those parts a second life in a deck that is in every other respect a full Rega. Think of the wonky fruit on a supermarket shelf: it tastes the same, it just missed the beauty contest.
