Rega Planar 3 RS turntable
The Planar 3 RS is what happens when Rega borrows from further up the range. It takes the iconic Planar 3 and gives it a High Pressure Laminate plinth with a brushed-aluminium skin — the stiff, light construction normally reserved for the Planar 6 and 8 — then includes the Neo MK2 power supply and the nude-diamond Nd5 cartridge in the box. Where the standard Planar 3 leaves the PSU as an upgrade, the RS hands you the finished article. Choose it over a plain Planar 3 if you want that deck's next two upgrades already fitted and tuned, in a finish that stands apart.
