Rega Accessories
Rega does not make accessories to fill a catalogue. Each one exists because a turntable needed it: a bracket to get the deck off a bouncing floor, a gauge accurate to a hundredth of a gram, a mat, a lid, a cable matched to the capacitance of Rega's own tonearm wiring. Most cost little and change more than their price suggests. If you already own a Planar, this page is usually where the next improvement is.
A Rega is built to be kept, which means the parts have to stay available. These are the wearing and upgrading items: drive belts, arm-height spacers, a replacement dustcover. The belt is the one real service item on a Planar — it stretches slowly and takes speed accuracy with it, and a fresh one is the cheapest way to make an older deck sound right again. Fit the belt your model was designed around, or step up to the Reference.
