Rega Replay turntable

← Back to Replay

More than fifty years of turntable experience went into the Replay, and Rega spent three years refining every detail of it. Like every Rega product, the Replay is handmade in the UK. It is easy to set up and musically rewarding from the very first record: a genuine introduction to high-fidelity vinyl playback, without unnecessary complexity. Expect a detailed, dynamic performance, ease of use and the reassurance of a lifetime warranty.

Whatever you play, Replay — Buying a first turntable can feel daunting. The Replay takes that away: it is ready to use in under a minute. Unbox it, push the balance weight onto the rear of the RB110 tonearm as far as it goes, connect the tonearm leads to an amplifier with a phono input or to a phono stage, remove the stylus guard, choose an album, switch on, cue the arm and listen. No arm balancing, no wondering whether everything is set correctly: just the music as the artist intended.

Tonearm — The Replay uses the new generation of the RB110 tonearm, built with Rega-designed, ultra-low friction bearings (patented). The bias is preset at the factory and is not adjustable, so the user never has to set it. The headshell is ergonomically designed for usability and appearance. A 111 g 'plug & play' balance weight is included.

Cartridge — Rega Carbon moving magnet cartridge, fitted as standard. Each cartridge is carefully fitted and aligned at the factory, so it does its job straight out of the box. The stylus is replaceable.

24 V synchronous motor module — A bespoke, low-noise, low-vibration 24 V synchronous AC motor, built as one module. The module holds a new circuit board, a CNC-machined aluminium pulley, the power switch, the power input, the rear foot and built-in ventilation.

Drive belt — The EBLT drive belt brings the platter up to speed. To change from 33 1/3 to 45 rpm, move the belt by hand on the pulley.

Plinth — A high-rigidity, laminated, low-mass skeletal plinth with a black MDF core.

Central bearing housing — A brass main bearing with an improved fit, which removes stress from the bearing itself and keeps the transfer of energy to a minimum (patent pending). The precision main bearing is sealed at the factory.

Platter and mat — A 23 mm phenolic platter with added mass and a flywheel effect for stable speed, with a custom white mat. One side of the mat has a different texture, so it grips the textured platter surface.

Isolation — Rega's foot assembly increases stability and reduces the transfer of vibration.

Dust cover — A removable custom dust cover with an anti-rotation device protects the tonearm and platter when the turntable is not in use.

Connections and dimensions — Power comes from the Rega PS2 supply. The arm connects through a phono RCA cable, with the earth carried through the left channel. Dimensions with the lid fitted: 115 x 415 x 320 mm (H x W x D), weight 2.2 kg. Like all Rega products, the Replay carries a lifetime limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
