Aura MC
The Aura is Rega's reference phono stage and the summit of the line — a three-stage, fully symmetrical, all-analogue moving-coil pre-amplifier that stays clear of every function that might obstruct the signal. It runs a power supply 60% higher in voltage than usual for the headroom, with each stage locally supplied and switching handled by relays. At 13kg it is built like the source components it partners — the Planar 10 and Naia — and it is fully adjustable for any low-output moving-coil. This is an end-of-the-road stage, bought when the cartridge deserves it; reviewers put it, plainly, in the premier league.
