Planar 6

The Planar 6 is where the range turns skeletal. Its plinth is built around a Tancast 8 foam core — an aerospace material — pressed between rigid laminate skins, so it is far lighter and stiffer than the solid plinths below it, and that lightness is the point: less mass to store energy and blur the music. It ships with the RB330 arm, a dual-layer glass platter and, crucially, the Neo power supply in the box rather than as an option. Above the Planar 3 you stop paying for features and start paying for construction; the Planar 6 is the first deck where you can plainly hear where the money went.
